About CMEA
The Clean Mobility Equity Alliance (CMEA) is a peer-learning network that convenes clean mobility equity project implementers and interested parties to share successes and challenges in mobility project implementation and advance mobility equity policy.
CMEA is funded by the California Air Resources Board and California Energy Commission and is administered by the Shared-Use Mobility Center and CALSTART with support from emergent labs and Heartquist Strategies.
Mission
CMEA is grounded in mobility equity and justice and prioritizes the mobility needs of low-income communities, people of color, and other marginalized groups to remedy the neglect and adverse impacts of past transportation planning decisions.
Clean Mobility Equity Alliance is working to empower and equip communities with the knowledge, resources, and relationships to address transportation gaps and needs through clean, shared mobility solutions.
Goals
Support mobility equity project implementation by establishing a space for participants to share strategies for overcoming project barriers and by streamlining the delivery of capacity-building resources to participants.
Create a clean mobility equity community of practice that empowers participants to create, collaborate, and share creative solutions for mobility projects, other emerging networks, and related efforts.
Advance mobility justice policy solutions to meet the State’s climate, air quality, and equity goals by identifying unique community needs and responsive policy approaches.
Membership
CMEA members include entities in California that are:
- Working or interested in working on a clean mobility project or transportation needs assessment
- Implementing or interested in implementing mobility justice and equity components into projects
- Interested in participating in one or more networking opportunities including bi-annual meetings, trainings, and working groups.
