The Biz-Werx Clean Shared Mobility Program, spearheaded by the Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce (FMBCC), is a transformative initiative designed to enhance transportation equity, promote environmental sustainability, and foster economic opportunities for historically underserved communities in Fresno. This program bridges the gap between clean energy innovation and community empowerment by providing access to affordable, eco-friendly transportation solutions. At its core, Biz-Werx addresses transportation barriers that disproportionately affect Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, low-income residents, and small business owners. Reliable transportation is essential for employment, education, healthcare, and economic mobility. However, the high cost of vehicle ownership, limited public transit options, and environmental concerns often create challenges for many Fresno residents. Biz-Werx addresses these issues by offering electric vehicle (EV) car-sharing, e-bikes, van pooling, hailing, and other clean mobility solutions, thereby reducing economic burdens and carbon footprints.
